Day by day

Day 1 - 2 : Quito
Upon arriving in Quito, you'll be welcomed by your representative and taken to your hotel. Set among the Andean peaks and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Quito is home to outstanding museums, churches, and art galleries. Begin your exploration with a city tour covering both modern and historic areas. Visit Independence Square, surrounded by key landmarks such as the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace, and City Hall. Admire the El Sagrario Church and the intricately designed facade of La Compañía Church, and then see San Francisco Church, constructed on the remains of an Inca palace in the 16th century. Enjoy a chocolate tasting at Galeria Ecuador, where you’ll learn about cacao cultivation and create your own chocolate truffles. Next, participate in a cooking class at Cafe Plaza Grande to discover Ecuadorian cuisine. After lunch, visit the Equatorial Monument, honoring 18th-century French scientists, and the Ethnographic Museum, which highlights Ecuador’s rich ethnic diversity.
Day 3 - 5 : Mashpi Rainforest Biodiversity Reserve
After breakfast, a Mashpi Guide will take you to the Mashpi Rainforest Biodiversity Reserve, a haven for wildlife. Hike through the forest, swim in waterfalls, and observe vibrant bird species. Explore the canopy using the Air Tram (canopy gondola), which provides extended opportunities for wildlife viewing. Relax at the Life Centre, where you can learn about local butterflies and stroll through a small orchard featuring medicinal plants. Discover 11 trails with a bilingual naturalist and local guide, and enjoy sweeping views from the observation tower. In the evening, experience the forest’s transformation with its array of insects, frogs, nocturnal birds, and bioluminescent fungi.
